  • More Stephanie & Andy

I am almost to our miniature golfing pictures. Fun Fun. I should have those up tonight. The only thing is my church called. The laptop, with the newletter I spent an entire day designing, has died and I need to redesign the whole thing today. Sigh....I want to work on Steph and Any's pictures!   So this evening once the newsletter is done I will post more!

  • Stephanie and Andy - an Engagement Session

This last Saturday I had the most wonderful engagement shoot with Stephanie and Andy. We went to the Fort Wayne Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory and the funny thing is that we were one of 5 photographers taking pictures there that day. I guess when it is 25 degrees outside you find the most hospitable place you can. I am only 1/4 of the way through their pictures but here are a few of my favorites so far.

  • Popular Wedding Date 07/07/07

    wedding7-7-07

Well Amy was talking about it in her blog so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon. July 7, 2007 seems to be the most popular wedding day in 100 years. I was booked to photography Brittany and Jason for this date in July of last year and I bet they are glad they planned ahead. Almost every photographer I know is booked for that day and WedPlan.net had a list of a dozen brides or so in my area that are still looking for a photographer for that day. If you just got engaged make it easy on yourself. Choose another day. :) I might still be available.

  • Catching up---Fair 2006

In between clients I am working on finishing the Haase Family Year in Review Album. As of tonight I am about half way stopping at the two page spread where we are watching the sideshow entertainment at the LaGrange County 4-H Fair. They were a tumbling act with fire and acrobatics. I forget their name Africa Safari..... something.....I don't remember. Here was my favorite picture. I really got a good shot of the guy breathing fire.

  • Wishing for spring.

Over the last few weeks the Rose Catalogs have just been piling up at my house. I seem to find myself sitting in my recliner every evening with my cup of tea dreaming and plotting about my gardens this spring. Who get's "THE SHOVEL" and who stays to bloom another year. Who comes home to Indiana and finds a place in my flower beds. I have pages of garden charts and eraser lint all over my lap but I am happily planning one of natures most beautiful shows. Come spring and hurry this gardener is waiting for you.

I was also working on the Rose of the Month article for the Indianapolis Rose Society website and I found myself flipping through my pictures from last years spring flush of blooms and felt like sharing a bit of spring in the bleak midwinter.

  • Happy Birthday Elizabeth Jane!

Yesterday we went to my parents home and celebrated Lizzie Bee's First Birthday. My goodness how she has grown this year. I took her pictures just a few days after she was born and then every three months of her life. She is such a ham and just bubbles. Here are some of my favorite pictures my little niece.

My Dad video taped the whole event from start to finish. I can say that I get the disease known as "camera face" legitimately.

  • Digging out.......anyone have a snowblower??

All in all the big Valentines Blizzard of 2007 wasn't so bad so far. Hubby had his work laptop and logged in from his comfy recliner chair. I baked heart shaped blueberry muffins, and right now I am working on Lasagna for dinner. I planned pretty well and my shopping excursion a few days before the storm kept our fridge and pantry adequately supplied. The only thing we are rationing are Coffee Filters. I have one left......oh the humanity!  LOL! We didn't loose power and other than Hubby having to shovel our front porch twice to allow us to continue open it, we had a nice relaxing blizzard safe and warm in our little house.

Our only minor problem is our driveway and the alley way beside it. It managed to drift around 3 feet of snow behind our cars! I guess unless we can get someone to help us remove the show we are stuck for another day or so. I guess I can handle that. It is kind of nice being snowed in with no place to go. I am glad Michelle and Any and I rescheduled our engagement shoot for the 24th. Don't you? Well here are a few pictures from today. I took them from our kitchen door. I had to be careful not to let the 1 foot of snow in front of the door fall in when I slid it open and closed. However the snow on the step does make a nice place to keep the lasagna fillings cool until I am ready to build the dish.

If you notice below the snow is past hubby's knees. He is 6' tall for a reference. The Pear trees have a 2' tall protective covering on the trunks to keep the bunnies away in the winter. You can see how much is still above the snow. It is hard to see but if you look closely you can see the huge drift behind my car.
