  • Three days! They were only on my porch 3 days!

    smashed

To say that I am mad is an understatement. My kids carved their pumpkins on Saturday night and Monday night  after 12:30 am someone walked through our yard onto our front porch took the kid's carved pumpkins and smashed them in the middle of our intersection. We have lived in our little town of Fairmount, Indiana for 6 and a half years and 4 out of those 6 years some juvenile delinquent has vandalized our home in October. We are happy people we give Candy to EVERYONE who comes to our door on Halloween. We decorate we greet everyone with a smile and a friendly hello. We are good quite people. WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS TO US? We never did anything to them. Over the last 6 years we have lost over $68 in pumpkins and $20 more for the car wash to get the egg on my car last year. I am so sick of this. Next year I am getting a video camera and catch them in the act and I am going to prosecute. I am tired of their little reign of Tyranny.  As God as my witness they will not smash another pumpkin of mine again!

  • It's the Great Pumpkin!

Today we carved pumpkins with the kiddos. Well hubby carved the kids scooped and I sorted the seeds out of the pulp so we could roast them later. The kids drew what that wanted their pumpkin to look like and my super creative hubby really came through. I love what my hubby and Son came up with. I really love the kiddy cat too.

  • Defrosting the Large Freezer

I have to do it once a year. It is the price I pay for the size of upright freezer I wanted. I have very limited space in my kitchen and our garage is detached from the house and on the other side of the lot so would I go out there in the middle of winter for anything unless it was an emergency? NO, so I had to have it in the kitchen. Well I only had 26 inches of room in the kitchen so the only freezer I could get was a manual defrost model. SIGH. So every year I have to empty the thing out and defrost it. What a chore who ever put the drain hose in the bottom made it way too short and it is way too rigid. I always end up using all my kitchen towels to clean up the mess.....BUT....it is done! Yay!! The steak and chickens are safe once again. They have this great steak sale at my local grocery store. A whole New York Strip cut to order for only 2.59 a pound!!! WOW! I need to get some more bags for my vacuum sealer!

  • New E-Store for Prints---Still learning how to set it up right

    photoreflect

I have this awesome new E-Store with Photoreflect that they tell me is great both for me and for my customers, but I am really stumped on the lack of help I have for setting it up. I wish it came with a step by step PDF manual. Now I am not computer illiterate or slow. I am smarter than your average end user but this set up software really has me stumped about a few things. If you are a photoreflect user message me I could really use your help. Thanks!

  • Invasion of the Sock Monster!

Ever wonder where your socks go when you are missing one from a pair? Well my kids came up with the most funny thing not long ago and as I was catching up on the bane of my existence (socks) I was taken back to when I had the kids sorting socks . I came into the living room and heard whispering and giggling and then I saw them cowering  in the center of a circle of socks and the laundry basket full of socks suddenly had a face. Since Halloween is coming up I thought that maybe you may enjoy a visit from our scary neighborhood sock monster.

Hubby and I play a collectable card game called Magic the Gathering and there are special cards in the game that protect you from damage they are called Circle of Protection ________  meaning they protect you from what ever the _______ fill in the blank. Well the kids started playing and we decided that they weren't in any real danger since they had the Circle of Protection Socks.

  • Gary Fong Blogged about me!

So this is my first of many entries on my Xanga Blog. I decided to go with xanga because I already signed up so I could post comment's on Gary Fong's Blog, so here I am at the begining of what will hopefully be a great partnership. I am a photographer by trade and just finished my first really big wedding. You can view some of them in my Gallery. I also just finished my first big 72 page Album Showcase. Gary is so great he even bloged about it today. If this hits from his blog don't shut down my web hosting service then you should be able to view it HERE.

You may from time to time see stuff about my family or my kid here. I have two kids ages 10 and 9 and Girl and boy. I love to take pictures of them and they love to complain that I am taking pictures of them. My hubby is also working on my website and from time to time I will be showing you updates on that front too.

Well I will leave you with a few of my favorite pictures from April and Kyle's wedding on April 14th. Remember to visit their Album Showcase and feel free to let me know what you think about it.
