Tuesday and Thursday I had the privilege of volunteering to answer phones for WGNR and their Share pledge drive. WGNR is completely commercial free christian radio so they need help from listeners to stay on the air. They are a great station and since they are owned and operated by Moody Bible Institute you know that they are are going to provide wholesome biblical teaching and great praise music. I have been volunteering since 2001 and it really is a blessing to work for my family's radio station.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day.

Melinda Schmidt is a host for Midday Connection a program that airs on WGNR at 1pm every week day. She hosts with Anita Lustrea in Chicago at WMBI Moody Radio's flag ship station. She really had a lot of fun here in Indianapolis with the team and the volunteers. I really enjoyed having her help out. 

Andrea is a long time client and great friend. When she told me she wanted some pictures of herself for Valentines Day for her wonderful boyfriend Mickey I jumed at the chance. We only had three days from shoot to print so it was a fast session. It wasn't much of a suprise though when Mic came home from his workout early and decided after a quick cleanup he wanted a picture of them together. They are such a great couple and I hope that when the time comes I will be chosen as their wedding photographer!

Sunday was the W92Five and WIOU Kokomo Bridal Show. What a great time. The Johanning Civic Center  talking to all the new brides and seeing all of the beautiful new bridal fashions. Wedding invitations are something new I took on this year. Cori and Ryan were so great allowing me to be their photographer and now they are trusting me with this fun adventure. They wanted something whimsical but something pretty. They wanted their pictures, maps and everything to be all inclusive so they chose an accordion style invitation. 

Sample number 1 This invitation has a hand painted look with a sketched front and muted flowers through out. Following the theme of painted the gift pictures have a sketch border.

Sample 2 is cleaner without a picture on the front of the card. It also has brighter flowers in some places. It is slightly more simple.

Sample Number 3 is my personal favorite. I has a front and inside first page that has a different orientation. Using the picture and the bright flowers I think it just looks better. I like how with this horizontal dimension I can make they picture on the front bigger.

 This past Saturday was the Marion, Indiana Bridal Expo held at the Meshingomesia Country Club. I had such a good time meeting with all the brides that came. And I really enjoyed shooting parts of the fashion show for Mrs. J's Bridal. I took a lot of pictures of hair also for the salons represented at the show. I think my booth turned out well thanks to my new 22" monitor and my new beautiful graphi sample book. Having the set up for the tables and 16x20 pictures was nice also. Here is a picture of what the booth looked like.
