  • Micah and Leah - an experiment in textures & brushes

Micah and Leah are two really great kids. When their mother called me about portraits this summer I told her it might take me until October to get them finished (as weddings have priority) I was so pleased when that was not a problem. Because Micha and Leah's was so generous with allowing me time to work I was able to use Micah and Leah's pictures to learn more about textures and different photoshop paintbrush techniques. I know some don't care of this but I am offering the unpainted pictures to Micah and Leah's family also.  This is a new experiment for me. Let me know what you think.

  • Hi.  The last time I commented I told you the pictures you had posted were my favorite (they were the edgy ones).  These rank right up there.  I adore the third one - but they are all wonderful.  I love the feel of them!  Thanks for sharing!  ~Michelle

  • I like them. I love the effects of brushes and textures, its on my off season to do list. Great shots of the kids too.

  • Thanks so much for your kind comments! I was hoping I wasn't over doing the effects. Their Mom is big into christmas so I thought the winter brushes were extra special. I found some Christmas Icons but they just didn't translate into brushes as well as the snowflakes and ice.

  • nice work. i like the one of the little girl looking up. :)
